Who writes DeskFootprint, and how we get paid

This is a small affiliate site about compact electric sit-stand desks and converters. We measure the purchase in inches, published decibels, and return labels — not in medical promises.

Who we are

DeskFootprint is written for hybrid workers in apartments and small rooms: 24-inch-deep tops, closet frames, roommate-safe motor claims, and 30-day RMAs. It is not a furniture lab, a physical therapy clinic, or a manufacturer.

We do not claim that sit-stand desks treat, prevent, or cure back pain, neck pain, or any medical condition. Changing posture is a furniture feature. Pain is a clinical question.

Methodology (September 2026)

  1. Read current official US product pages and spec PDFs: FlexiSpot, UPLIFT Desk, Fully/Herman Miller Jarvis, Autonomous, Vari.
  2. Record only published dimensions, load, motor count, speed, noise ratings, warranty, and return terms. If two official blocks disagree, we print both.
  3. Do not invent street prices. When a page shows a number (Autonomous $249, UPLIFT frame $469+, Jarvis sale $1,181.25, Vari Amazon $429), we date it. Buttons say Check price.
  4. Do not invent dB. If a brand says “whisper-quiet” with no number, we say that.
  5. Amazon URLs get a tag only after the product page loads for that ASIN.

We did not lab-test wobble, sound, or lift speed. Owner-review color is labeled as such when used at all.

How we make money

Possible commission sources: Amazon Associates (US furniture category) and, later, brand programs (FlexiSpot, UPLIFT, Autonomous, etc.) if approved. This launch cluster uses Amazon tagged links plus unsponsored-rel branded URLs so the disclosure is honest on day one.

We may also earn from FlexiSpot, UPLIFT, or other networks in the future. The header and footer disclosure stays either way.

Corrections

SKUs, warranties, and sale prices change without a press release. If this site disagrees with the manufacturer page, the manufacturer page wins. Email is not staffed as a helpdesk; treat this as a dated spec recap (1 September 2026 research pass).
